Donald Trump May Be Open to Obstruction of Justice Charge

It looks as though one of Donald Trump’s infamous tweets may have finally gotten him into real hot water. On Meet the Press, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said that Donald Trump may have left himself open to a charge of obstruction of justice, based on a tweet he made on Friday. Sen. Feinstein is the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee and a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is investigating Donald Trump for possible collusion with the Russians for the 2016 presidential election. Many people, including myself, think that Donald Trump is as guilty as sin of colluding with the Russians to help you win the 2016 presidential election.

Obstruction of justice, especially in this case involving a president of the United States, is a very serious charge. Donald Trump should be just as much open to a charge as your average citizen. Even though he may think so, Donald Trump is not above the law. No one is!

Here is the text of the infamous tweet that may well lead to the undoing of Donald Trump:

I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 2, 2017

This begs the question if Donald Trump knew that Michael Flynn had lied wouldn’t his attempts to shut down the investigation by the FBI constitute obstruction of justice? To me, the answer is a very simple “yes”. Donald Trump is guilty of obstruction of justice and should be charged just like your average citizen. His office should not make him exempt from anything.

I am very glad to see that the house of cards that Donald Trump lives in is starting to collapse. It is very satisfying to see this racist/sexist getting closer to the rewards for his criminal behavior. As far as I’m concerned, Donald Trump is nothing more than a self-entitled, overprivileged, conceited silver spoon baby.

One thing that always has struck me about Donald Trump is his arrogance. He also has an extremely warped sense of this own importance, not to mention the scope of his powers. Donald Trump seems to think that just because he is president of the United States, he has limitless powers and can do anything he wants. He acts as though he has never taken a civics lesson in this life. Maybe, he will start to get some idea of his limits when they impeach him.

Hopefully, we will all get a chance to see them being spanked for his bad behavior.

We Need a Special Prosecutor for Trump

Even some Republicans want an independent investigation.

We Need a Special Prosecutor for Trump

The firing of FBI Director James Comey makes it glaringly apparent that a special prosecutor is needed to investigate possible ties between the Trump administration and the Russians.  There is no way that the Donald Trump, or his administration can be trusted being allowed anywhere near this fiasco. Of course, fiasco may be the wrong word.  A better word might be salvation.  I guess it depends on where you sit, and whose side you are on.

What I interpret to be a hopeful sign that a special prosecutor may be appointed is the fact that a few Republicans are in favor of a special prosecutor, and are calling for the appointment of one.  Looking at it for a cynic like me, I wonder who will be the right people to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate this matter.  This entire process must be kept as clean as possible. In fact, it has to be squeaky clean or the results won’t be believable or interpreted as being truthful.

It is a hopeful sign when a senator of John McCain’s prestige, is one of the Republicans calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor.  Even though I must confess that John McCain isn’t one of my favorite people, his appearance on the scene does lend some credibility to the process, at least in some circles.  He knows that a special prosecutor is the only fair way to get to the bottom of this matter, without any tampering from either side, Democrats, Republicans or any others who may have some type of special interest on the outcome of any investigation.  That way, after a special prosecutor finishes his/her investigation, nobody can accuse anyone else of rigging the outcome for political gain.

Donald Trump, in his own “tweets” to the public, is very close to crossing the line over into obstruction of justice, a criminal charge for which he is skirting, if not trampling over.  He and his entire administration have tried to derail Comey’s investigation from the start.  I guess the straw that finally broke “the Donald’s” back is when Comey started asking for more funding and investigators to help with the investigation.  At that point, Donald Trump may as well have shouted out, “I’m as guilty as hell”.  He obviously has never learned or developed a poker face.  Of course, he’s too arrogant to think he needs one.

It has become very obvious to many people Donald Trump doesn’t really know much about civics, government and most of all, history, or else he would know that he is playing straight out of “The Richard Nixon Playbook” in the way that he is dealing with this situation.

He must not remember or was too busy making money and being a sexist to remember that after Richard Nixon fired independent special prosecutor Archibald Cox, his ship started sinking increasingly faster. Hopefully, Donald Trump’s ship will soon sink like a rock.

Was The Trump Campaign In Collusion With Russia?

The title of this article asks a question that is probably on the minds of most Americans.  At least it should be.  Whether or not the Trump campaign was in collusion with Russia to fix the election is probably one of the most important questions that have come along since the beginning of the United States.

Yesterday, Director of the FBI, James Comey announced that the FBI is conducting an investigation into whether the Trump campaign had communication with Russia, before the election.  This announcement could have huge ramifications, especially if the FBI investigation turns up something solid against Donald Trump and members of his campaign staff.

I think it probably Donald Trump and his campaign staff were in collusion with Russia to fix the 2016 presidential election.  Even though this hasn’t been proven yet, or maybe never will, I think Donald Trump is as guilty as shit.  Ironically, it was Donald Trump who was going around during the campaign, saying that the election was fixed in favor of Hillary Clinton.  If there is any justice in this world, the FBI investigation into the trump campaign will expose this loudmouth jackass for what he really is; a self-serving traitor to the United States.

This entire incident leads to more questions; such as, what will be done if the election was fixed, what will be the penalty, who will be punished, and a myriad of other questions that I truly don’t know is covered by the US Constitution.  I’m not even sure if the U.S. Constitution covers this type of thing, although it probably has something written in its wise words.

The only thing I know is that a president of bathroom United States can be impeached for “high crimes and misdemeanors”.  In this case, Donald Trump, and members of his campaign staff are guilty of “high crimes”.  If I believed in capital punishment, which I don’t, Donald Trump would be executed for treason.  To work with another country, in this case, Russia, to fix an American election is nothing less than treason.

It will be extremely interesting to see how this unseemly episode of American history plays out.

Trumps Great Distraction: The Trump Tower Bugging

Since the FBI announced that it is investigating The president and his campaign for possible irregularities, he has doubled down on his ridiculous claim of The Trump Tower being bugged.  Hopefully, most people realize that this allegation is entirely groundless and just another distraction thrown up by Donald Trump to distract away from the real issue; did his campaign work with Russia to fix the 2016 election for Trump?

Just to bring anyone up to speed that may be so put off by this entire thing, The president is claiming that President Barack Obama wiretapped The Trump Tower.  As ridiculous and paranoid as that may sound, Trump is arguing that it happened.  FBI Director, James Comey says that his agency has no evidence that The Trump Tower was ever under electronic surveillance of any type.

However, Trump is sticking by his claim, because as most of us who have watched him for a while, know that Donald Trump always thinks the is the smartest guy in the room, no matter how stupid he is in life.  These days, our “president” has taken paranoia to a new level that would make even Richard Nixon wince in fear.  Trump’s paranoia is making me wonder if he truly is as paranoid as he seems, or is he just pretending?  Could this high level of arrogance and fear just be another one of his dog and pony shows, for which he is famous?

No matter how hard he may try, I sincerely hope that the American people don’t believe Trump any further that they can throw a bus because he is as guilty as shit of colluding with Russia to fix the election.  Hopefully, the FBI investigation of his campaign will show what a bastard Donald Trump is.

Darrell Issa Calls For Government Shutdown

“We should be willing to shut down the government if the president won’t limit his power,” he said, noting that his party had repeatedly been “willing to shut down the government over ending Obamacare and these other things.” Those things, according to Issa, are “small points compared to the actual balance of our republic.”

Rep. Darrell Issa Calls for Government Shutdown

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) who has said that he will never support a government shutdown apparently has changed his mind. He is now calling for a government shutdown because the FBI says that they will not charge Hillary Clinton with a crime.

Rep. Issa refuses to accept the fact that Hillary Clinton, even though she may have been sloppy with her email security, is not guilty of any crime. Darrell Issa is livid over this statement by FBI Director, James Comey that Hillary Clinton “is guilty of no crime”. This entire thing reminds me of the movie, “A Few Good Men” where the character played by Jack Nicholson says, “you can’t handle the truth.”

As you may remember, Darrell Issa is the former chair of the House Oversight Committee, the committee that tried so hard to prove that Hillary Clinton had made huge mistakes and even did something illegal when she handled the Benghazi incident when she was Secretary of State. After that committee could not prove a damn thing, Darrell Issa persisted in his inquisition costing taxpayers millions of dollars.

Darrell Issa is certainly no one to talk about anyone being a criminal, especially since he has been charged in the past with various crimes, including, grand theft auto, threatening another person with a gun, and even arson.

Maybe, Darrell Issa should take a look at his backyard before he calls someone else a criminal.

Martin Shkrelli Learns That Karma Can Be a Real Bitch

Martin Shkrelli, head of Turing Pharmaceuticals, Inc., was arrested today for fraud and taken into custody remember, is the person who raised the price of a antiviral drug, used by people with HIV, by an unconscionable 5000%. If today’s arrest doesn’t make you believe that “what goes around comes around,” isnt true, I don’t know what will.

Even though the charges brought against Martin Shkrelli wasn’t about the grossly overpriced drug that is company produces, it really did my heart good to see the videotape of his arrest, and him being walked out in handcuffs, by the FBI. Hopefully, justice will be served and Martin Shkrelli will do some serious time in prison. As far as I’m concerned, he deserves everything he gets. He has already earned the unsavory title as the “most hated man in America,” because of his obscene profiteering at the expense of people with HIV.

Today’s charges stem from Martin Shkrelli defrauding investors in a hedge fund that he operated before becoming CEO of Turing pharmaceuticals, Inc. Apparently, he didn’t disclose certain financial information about his hedge fund, that he is legally required to disclose. When that particular hedge fund starting to fail, Martin Shkrelli started another one. Then, he is alleged to have used funds from the second hedge fund to pay off the debts of investors of the first hedge fund.

When this hedge fund also started to fail, he formed a pharmaceutical company, then used the profits to pay off his creditors from the other two hedge funds is started and managed. Basically, what Martin Shkrelli was doing was running a Ponzi scheme, like Bernie Madoff. Officials are calling Martin Shkrelli a “millennial Bernie Madoff.”

Even though today’s arrest of Martin Shkrelli is important, unfortunately, he is just the tip of the iceberg in an evil corrupt system. Today’s arrest may send some kind of message to corporate America that they are not invulnerable, or “too big to fail”, it will actually have little effect in cleaning up our system.

I’m sure we all know the truth that for every one Martin Shkrelli who gets caught playing dirty, there are probably a couple of hundred more just like him who will most likely get away with it. This type of behavior is not unheard of in corporate America. To me, it just proves what an evil and corrupt system capitalism really is. It also makes it very obvious that we the people need to take back our economic system. We all need to collectively pull down on that big handle and flush capitalism down the toilet, because that’s where it belongs.
