Fascist Tactics Used Against Senator Elizabeth Warren on Senate Floor

Fascist Tactics Used Against Senator Elizabeth Warren on Senate Floor

Yesterday, Senator Elizabeth Warren was prevented from speaking in master opposition to the appointment of Senator Jeff Sessions to be Attorney General. It looks as though the fascism that has taken over 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. has spread down the street to the U.S. Congress.

When she tried to read the text of a letter written by Coretta Scott King, in her opposition to Jeff Sessions for appointment to a Federal Judgeship, Senator Elizabeth Warren was forced to stop her speech by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. McConnell chose to use an old rule to prevent Senator Warren from speaking.

The old rule, known as “Rule 9”, which says that “one Senator cannot impugn the reputation of another member of the Senate” was pulled out of McConnell’s bag of tricks in his, unfortunately, successful attempt to silence Senator Elizabeth Warren.

After she then objected to the old rule being used to stop her from speaking, Senator Elizabeth Warren appealed to the presiding officer for a ruling. Unfortunately, he upheld Mitch McConnell’s fascism and Senator Warren was forced to step away from the podium.

As far as impugning Jeff Sessions reputation, that is something that is very easy to do. He has no reputation, except that of a racist who does not deserve to be allowed to have a seat in such a high place as Attorney General. His record of racist behavior goes way back many years. He is unfit to serve as this country’s Attorney General because he will not be able to be fair because of his racist past, which is well-documented.

Using an old rule to silence Senator Elizabeth Warren was wrong. Mitch McConnell shows himself to be a total hypocrite and using it to silence her. After all, we were forced to watch him treat President Obama with a total lack of respect for eight years. For him to prevent Senator Elizabeth Warren from reading the text of a letter written by the window of a Great American like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is not only a travesty but a tactic more suited to a fascist.

I have included a link to the text of the letter written by Coretta Scott King, for your convenience.

Elizabeth Warren Helps Derail the Clinton Machine

Clinton has failed Warren’s ‘money-in-politics’ litmus test — and now the Democratic Party is splitting in two.

Elizabeth Warren Helps Derail the Clinton Machine

This article really highlights one of the major reasons that Bernie Sanders is a better choice for president of the United States than Hillary Clinton. Simply put, Elizabeth Warren was a major player in helping to derail the Clinton machine. This is something we should all be grateful for, because Clinton represents the last thing we need in this country, “status quo politics”

Elizabeth Warren shows herself to be as opposed to the type of corruption that big money and corporate influence brings into our political system, as Bernie Sanders. Because of that, I applaud Senator Elizabeth Warren. Apparently she is as tired of watching corporations run this country, by proxy of the US Senate and House of Representatives. We need to face that most of our politicians have totally sold out the American people. Hillary Clinton is no different.

Realizing this, Senator Elizabeth Warren is obviously distancing herself from Hillary Clinton. A few months ago, Hillary Clinton seemed to almost have the endorsement of Elizabeth Warren. Now, things seemed to have reversed themselves, mostly because of Hillary Clinton’s increasing dependence on corporate contributions to fund her campaign. It would not surprise me at all if Bernie Sanders chooses Elizabeth Warren to be his running mate.

Even though Bernie Sanders has been speaking out against the corruption of big money in politics, it was Elizabeth Warren who helped publicize it and make it a major issue in the 2016 election.

In doing so, Elizabeth Warren is a major reason that he Sanders campaign has been so successful in undermining the big money sponsored campaign of Hillary Clinton; something that has been badly needed for years. It has gotten to the point where the influence of the big corporations and big money contributions to political candidates has undermined and circumvented the power of the people to choose candidates to have their best interests at heart.

An example of this corruption is the fact that Senator Marco Rubio, a contender for president from the Republican Party, has taken campaign contributions from the prison industrial complex. Ironically, Hillary Clinton has accepted large campaign contributions from the same source. How corrupt is that? To me that seems to define the corruption of our political system at its worst.

Why Elizabeth Warren Would Be a Better Candidate For President

“We agree with former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, the Boston Globe, and many others that Sen. Elizabeth Warren would be a strong candidate, and that if Hillary Clinton also declares, the debate between the two of them would be critical for our nation,” write Larry Cohen, president of the Communications Workers of America, and Annie Leonard, executive director of Greenpeace USA — the environmental group — in a new letter published by Run Warren Run, a campaign organized by liberal political organizations.

Elizabeth WarrenI agree with the sentiments expressed in this letter by two progressives that an Elizabeth Warren candidacy for president of United States, would be a good thing for this country. I might feel differently if I didn’t know that Hillary Clinton is not a true liberal, let alone a progressive; something that Hillary truly is not.

I would vote for Elizabeth Warren in a heartbeat, based solely on her very strong advocacy towards cleaning up Wall Street and the big banks.  This Wall Street cleanup is something that is long overdue, and quite frankly, something that I can’t see Hillary Clinton doing, even if she is elected president.  We have simply got to stop allowing Wall Street and their heavy capitalist agenda from running this country.

I truly believe Elizabeth Warren is a person who would do her very best to clean up Wall Street. I also believe that she has the strength to engage in the much-needed bloodbath with the big banks and the big time capitalists on Wall Street, who tamper with this country’s economy as though it was their personal sandbox to play in.

On the other hand, I don’t believe Hillary Clinton has the strength or will it would take to engage in this type of heavy battle. Wall Street has for too long toyed with his country’s economy, causing small businesses to fail, sabotaged legislation designed to protect our environment, homes to be foreclosed on, kept the minimum wage too low, and a long list of other things to abuse their self-appointed power and authority in the United States and the rest of the world.  We should not forget that the power on Wall Street extends beyond this nation’s borders.

Another good thing about an Elizabeth Warren candidacy would be to shift the debate farther to the left and keep the discussion from drifting to the right; something that I sincerely doubt Hillary Clinton will be able, or want to do.  This is mainly because she is not a true liberal, as many of her supporters have deceived themselves into believing.  In my opinion, I would call Hillary Clinton a moderate on her best days.  Elizabeth Warren would serve as a counterbalance to the moderate, even slightly conservative agenda of Hillary Clinton. If Hillary Clinton is the only candidate that the Democrats put up, they risk alienating people in this country who are true liberals/progressives because most of us know the truth, she is not one of us.

I certainly hope that Elizabeth Warren decides to run for president, despite the fact that she has made it clear that she doesn’t intend to run.  Of course, a politician always has the option to change their mind.  I really hope that Elizabeth Warren decides to exercise that option.

Hillary Clinton Is Sabotaging Her Own Campaign

Hillary Clinton Is Sabotaging Her Own Campaign

“I’m not going to be ready for Hillary until she announces she’s running for president,” said Tetreau, a three-decade veteran of New Hampshire primary politics, who called Ready for Hillary’s early-and-often email approach “annoying.”

Hillary ClintonHillary Clinton is sabotaging her campaign by her inaction to announce her candidacy for president of the United States.  I have been wondering for quite a while, why Hillary Clinton has not yet announced whether or not she is actually running for president.  She either needs to shit or get off the pot.  If she doesn’t, she probably is blowing her chances altogether.

It seems that her staunchest supporters are getting pissed off by her constant begging for funds, and I can’t say as I blame them one bit.  Even I, a member of the Green party for over 20 years, have received emails from her, asking for money.  Fat chance!

If I give money to any Democratic Party candidate, it will be Elizabeth Warren, someone who I think would be an excellent president, not to mention a true progressive.  I refuse to give one damn dime another to what I call a “phoney liberal” like Hillary Clinton.  I’ve done that too many times in the past.  I even donated my time to as a precinct captain to Hillary Clinton’s husband Bill Clinton when I was still a member of the Democratic Party.

The fact that Hillary Clinton is labeled as a liberal, just goes to show how far the political spectrum has shifted to the right.  She is a centrist at best.
