  1. I am not sure where you’re getting your information, but great topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or understanding more. Thanks for wonderful information I was looking for this information for my mission.

    1. I get most of my information from different websites on the Internet, which I consider to be credible. I try to find different topics other than what you might see covered by the “mainstream media”

  2. Hi Blane – I have enjoyed finding your blog. I am an only child, mom of a toddler and have a severely disabled mom (severe hemiparesis from massive stroke) whom I advocate for to gain access to resources that allow her to have a decent quality of life. I wanted to have the opportunity to share with you the challenges that I have faced in managing her full-time care. As of late, I have experience a great deal of struggle in working with Easy Does-It, an agency I have long respected and been in gratitude to for the emergency care and transportation services it affords.

I am alarmed by what I perceive as a disconnect between the mission and vision of the organization and the care services provided by its staff. I have addressed my concerns to the interim director (after months of remaining silent for fear of having services withheld as that has been the unspoken threat in response to my concerns) and then received a letter that is clearly in retribution for my concerns being expressed.

I would really appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter as it reflects the broader experience I have encountered in finding services to address my mom’s needs. I have worked hand in hand with Paratransportation programs, public agencies, hospitals, local police and fire, to help navigate my mother’s challenging care. Most times, I have succeeded in overcoming obstacles or barriers to her care. Not so with EAsy Does It. I hope I have the opportunity to dialogue with you about this journey and recent turn of events. I am an ally to the disabled and have been communicated with as if I am a threat to this organization in an effort to deflect responsibility. This concerns me deeply.
I respect your work and writing and can hear in your prose your gravitas and knowledge of the complexity of the care needs of the disabled. I welcome your reply. Brigette 510 229-2891
